Weatherford Announces Contract Awards with Kuwait Oil Company and NOC in Qatar

Weatherford International plc announced two significant contracts in the Middle East: one with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and another with a National Oil Company (NOC) in Qatar.

KOC awarded Weatherford a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) services contract, utilizing Weatherford’s Victus™ Intelligent MPD system to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and well-delivery timelines while reducing costs. Victus™ is renowned for its automation and precision, offering precise pressure control and real-time data integration to optimize drilling in complex environments, aligning with KOC’s goals of safer, faster, and more cost-effective well delivery.

In Qatar, Weatherford secured a five-year contract with an NOC, with a five-year extension option, to supply fishing and drilling tools. This contract underscores Weatherford’s commitment to supporting operational resilience by providing advanced fishing and drilling solutions, helping the operator manage challenging fishing scenarios and ensuring efficiency in drilling operations.
