Wallenius Wilhelmsen appoints Bjørnar Bukholm as new Chief Financial Officer

Bjørnar Bukholm, a well-known figure, is returning to Wallenius Wilhelmsen as the company's new Chief Financial Officer.

Since 2019, Bjørnar Bukholm has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Sector Alarm, a leading home security provider in Europe. Prior to that, he spent almost eight years at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, where he held various roles primarily in business development, strategy, finance, and investor relations. When he departed from Wallenius Wilhelmsen in 2019, he was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance, Strategy, and Investor Relations.

Bukholm holds a Master of Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School and began his career at McKinsey & Company.

Bjørnar Bukholm is set to join the company by May 1, 2025, at the latest. In the meantime, Jermund Lien, who is currently the Senior Vice President of Global Business Performance Management, will serve as the interim CFO from November 1 until Bukholm's arrival. The current CFO, Torbjørn Wist, is scheduled to leave the company on December 1, 2024.
