SLB OneSubsea awarded major contract for deepwater project in Brazil
SLB’s OneSubsea™ joint venture has secured a major contract from Petrobras for the Roncador project, located offshore Brazil, following a competitive tender process.
Under the contract, OneSubsea™ will supply two subsea production manifolds, an electro-hydraulic distribution unit, and additional services for the project.
Why it matters
The project plays a key role in advancing the Roncador field in the Campos Basin, one of Brazil's top five producing assets. Although it has been in production since 1999, the field still holds significant reserve potential. Implementing a robust subsea solution will help enhance recovery from this mature oilfield.
Local product and service delivery
A large portion of the equipment and technology for the project will be produced and maintained at SLB OneSubsea’s facilities in Brazil. OneSubsea will provide a comprehensive subsea equipment package, including production manifolds, control systems, distribution units, toolkits, and field services for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
The takeaway
“This award further strengthens our valued relationship with Petrobras,” said Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea. "Supporting our customers in extending the life of their assets is central to our strategy, and we are excited to contribute to the revitalization of Roncador.”
