SLB and SBM Offshore Agree Digital Alliance to Transform FPSO Production Performance

SLB, a leading global energy technology company, and SBM Offshore (AMS: SBMO), a world leader in Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) solutions, have announced an exclusive digital alliance aimed at optimizing offshore production system performance.

Through this partnership, SLB’s expertise in digital solutions and subsurface-to-surface production domains will be combined with SBM Offshore’s digital capabilities and extensive experience across the entire FPSO lifecycle. Together, the companies will develop an AI-driven digital ecosystem designed to enhance FPSO asset management—boosting uptime efficiency and lowering the total cost of ownership for offshore operators.

Once fully implemented, this ecosystem will enable offshore asset operators—across operations, maintenance, and engineering—to proactively detect and address potential issues before they escalate.

By delivering real-time, contextualized insights spanning the entire asset infrastructure—from subsea wells and risers to flowlines and topside systems—the ecosystem will integrate intelligence across multiple domains.
