PTTEP affirms readiness to safeguard Thailand’s energy security amid the recent unrest in the Middle East

Amid the continuing unrest in the Middle East affecting several regions, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) stated that it is closely monitoring the situation while placing the safety of its employees as the top priority. The company has evacuated staff from high-risk locations in line with its internal security protocols and guidance from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. PTTEP has also activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure business operations can continue during periods of uncertainty.

Regarding petroleum exploration and production activities in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, the company confirmed that operations are currently proceeding as normal without disruption.

In Thailand, PTTEP has initiated preparatory measures to support the policy of the Ministry of Energy of Thailand in maintaining stable domestic petroleum supply and protecting national energy security. These actions include maximizing natural gas production in the Gulf of Thailand and adjusting the schedule for planned maintenance shutdowns to reduce potential impacts on the public and industrial sectors.

The company added that it will continue to monitor developments closely and will provide further updates if there are any significant changes in the situation.
