PETRONAS Launches Energy Asia Awards to Recognize Excellence in Energy Transition
PETRONAS has officially launched the Energy Asia Awards as part of Energy Asia 2025, aiming to honor exceptional contributions and leadership in advancing a fair energy transition.
Aligned with the conference theme, ‘Delivering Asia’s Energy Transition’, the awards highlight innovators and organizations providing impactful solutions to meet the region's growing energy needs, reduce carbon emissions, and foster systemic changes for sustainability while keeping communities and people central to the transition.
These awards are designed to complement Energy Asia's diverse agenda, which promotes meaningful discussions among global leaders and business executives on achieving a sustainable future for Asia that balances emissions reduction with economic and social advancement.
Datin Arni Laily Anwarrudin, Senior General Manager of Energy Asia & Strategy, Planning, and Governance for PETRONAS, stated, “The energy industry is deeply interconnected, and addressing the energy transition requires collective action and collaboration from all sectors.”
She continued, “We are proud to launch the Energy Asia Awards, which aim to recognize and celebrate individuals, organizations, and initiatives that are driving progress toward a cleaner, sustainable future, inspiring others to follow their lead.”
The awards will recognize achievements across two categories:
- Eureka Award: Celebrating entrepreneurs and companies addressing environmental challenges by advancing decarbonization and improving resource efficiency through innovative technologies and solutions.
- Trailblazer Award: Honoring leaders and organizations fostering inclusive growth and supporting socioeconomic progress in areas such as education, environmental sustainability, and energy security.
Submissions for the Eureka and Trailblazer Awards will be accepted from January 6, 2025, to March 31, 2025.
The winners will be revealed during the Conference Reception and will also have the opportunity to participate in the conference programs.
