Baker Hughes and Venture Global Expand Strategic Long-Term Power Generation Partnership

Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, has signed a new Power Frame Agreement with Venture Global and GE Vernova to support the development of behind-the-meter power generation projects across the United States. The agreement is intended to support Venture Global’s ongoing liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and liquefaction operations, as well as potential future data center projects located near LNG facilities.

Under the agreement, the companies have established a framework for supplying gas turbines, steam turbines, and related equipment and services for up to 16 new power island units. Baker Hughes will also provide the control and electrical integration technologies needed to operate each unit, including E-houses and electrical control systems.

The agreement builds on the LNG power island architecture Baker Hughes previously implemented at Venture Global’s facilities. This approach provides a scalable, repeatable model for behind-the-meter power generation to support LNG production and related industrial operations, with potential applications in adjacent sectors. Deliveries under the agreement are expected to take place between 2028 and 2034.
