Brazil: TotalEnergies sells its fuel distribution activities to SIM Distribuidora
TotalEnergies has entered into an agreement to sell its fuel distribution operations in Brazil to SIM Distribuidora, a Brazilian company. The deal includes a network of approximately 240 filling stations and various storage facilities for petroleum products and ethanol.
SIM Distribuidora, a prominent player in Brazil’s fuel distribution sector, is part of Grupo Argenta, which operates over 500 service stations and is active in lubricants and aviation services.
This sale aligns with TotalEnergies' selective strategy in Marketing & Services, focusing on key regions with strong market share in the retail sector. TotalEnergies will continue its lubricants blending and distribution operations in Brazil. The acquisition is pending approval from the relevant authorities.
