Kuwait Oil Company awards long-term agreement to advance technology development Ahmadi Innovation Valley
Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded Halliburton a multi-year contract to support the development of the Ahmadi Innovation Valley (AIV), a flagship initiative aimed at accelerating the transformation of Kuwait's energy sector.
The new research and development (R&D) center will help KOC develop innovative solutions for brownfield, greenfield, and unconventional assets while addressing increasingly complex upstream operations. It will integrate applied research throughout the entire innovation process, from concept and prototyping to pilot testing and commercialization.
Building on its long-standing presence in Kuwait, Halliburton will deploy advanced technologies and customized engineering solutions as part of the program. The initiative will leverage digital technologies, data analytics, scientific modeling, and artificial intelligence to optimize performance across the full field lifecycle.
By enabling faster, data-driven decision-making and improving asset performance, the collaboration is expected to strengthen KOC's operational capabilities while fostering local expertise and supporting the company's long-term growth strategy.
"This award reflects the depth of the long-term collaboration with KOC and the shared focus on advancing technology development in Kuwait’s energy sector. We collaborate and engineer solutions to maximize asset value for our customers. The upstream R&D center demonstrates this approach in action.
