Inchcape Shipping Services Expands Operations to Arica, Chile
Inchcape Shipping Services, a global leader in port agency and maritime services, is excited to announce the launch of its new office at the key port of Arica in Chile.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for Inchcape, establishing its presence at Arica, South America's northernmost port, strategically located near the Peru border and serving as a gateway to a vast hinterland that includes parts of Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil.
Arica Port is known for its diverse cargo-handling capabilities, including minerals, fertilizers, food goods, gasoline, oil, and project cargo. It is also a popular destination for cruise ships, thanks to its proximity to natural wonders like the Azapa Valley, Lauca National Park, and Chungara Lake in the Andes Mountains. This makes the port an important hub for both the shipping and cruise industries.
Starting September 1, 2024, Inchcape's new office in Arica will offer a wide range of services for the tanker, dry bulk, liner, cruise, and ship management sectors. The company will cover operations at Arica Port (TPA) for containers, cruise ships, and general cargo vessels, as well as at the COMAP (COPEC) and SICA-SICA (YPFB) Buoys Terminals for tanker ships, further enhancing its capability to serve these diverse maritime industries.
Rodrigo Narvaez will lead Inchcape’s operations in Arica, leveraging his extensive expertise and local knowledge to deliver top-tier service to clients and uphold the highest standards in the region.
