Hanseatic Global Terminals becomes full owner of Florida International Terminal, LLC
Hanseatic Global Terminals and Grupo Empresas Navieras, via its affiliate Agunsa USA Inc (AGUNSA), have finalized a capital restructuring of Florida International Terminal, LLC (FIT), the operator of the Florida International Terminal. Following the completion of this transaction, Hanseatic Global Terminals now holds full ownership of FIT. The move also reflects AGUNSA’s strategic decision to streamline its portfolio by divesting minority stakes.
Located at Port Everglades in South Florida, the Florida International Terminal serves one of the world’s largest consumer markets. The facility focuses on both containerized and general cargo operations and benefits from strong connectivity to major highways and rail systems, enabling efficient inland distribution and seamless intermodal transport across the region.
Founded in 2023, Hanseatic Global Terminals operates independently within the Hapag-Lloyd Group, with a dedicated focus on terminal operations and infrastructure. As part of its long-term strategy toward 2030, the company plans to expand its global network from 21 terminals to around 30, strengthening its position as a leading terminal operator worldwide.
