Halliburton has signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with PETRONAS Suriname Exploration & Production BV (“PETRONAS Suriname”) and Valaris to support the development of PETRONAS Suriname’s local assets.

The partnership brings the three companies together early in the project lifecycle, enabling close alignment from initial planning through to execution. It underscores a shared commitment to enhancing project readiness, improving execution performance, and delivering long-term value.
"This collaboration reflects PETRONAS Suriname’s confidence in our early engagement approach and the ability to establish execution readiness from the outset. Our integration of subsurface insight with well construction expertise strengthens alignment throughout the development lifecycle and reinforces consistent, high-quality execution with PETRONAS Suriname and Valaris.
- Shannon Slocum, chief operating officer, Halliburton
This strategic partnership brings together PETRONAS Suriname Exploration & Production BV’s deep basin expertise, Valaris’ offshore drilling capabilities, and Halliburton’s advanced technology and execution strengths to enhance the development and long-term value of the Suriname asset.
By integrating efforts early, the collaboration connects subsurface evaluation and field development planning with digital well construction, offering clear visibility across every stage—from concept through execution. This integrated approach enables more effective planning, stronger decision-making, and consistent, high-quality execution throughout the project lifecycle.
