Halliburton awarded bundled deepwater well construction and completions contract

Halliburton has secured a bundled well construction and completions contract from Eni for the Cronos ultra-deepwater development in Block 6 of Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone. The contract strengthens Halliburton’s offshore activities in the Eastern Mediterranean and expands its involvement in the region’s natural gas development.

Under the agreement, Halliburton will provide integrated drilling, well construction, automation, remote operations, and completions services for exploration and development wells. By combining these services under one contract, the project is designed to reduce operational interfaces, improve execution efficiency, and support the delivery of the multi-year ultra-deepwater development.

The contract covers a range of services, including drilling fluids, directional drilling, LOGIX™ automation and remote operations, cementing, surface well testing, and coiled tubing. Halliburton will leverage its established infrastructure and regional capabilities in Cyprus to support logistics and maintain reliable execution throughout the campaign.

The Cronos project also provides a foundation for future deepwater development in the Eastern Mediterranean. Halliburton plans to apply its integrated delivery approach to additional offshore projects as operators look for greater efficiency, consistent performance, and long-term value in increasingly complex deepwater environments.
