Dynamis Power Solutions Awards Baker Hughes Major Power Generation Order for Data Centers, Oil & Gas
Dynamis Power Solutions (Dynamis), a leading North American provider of mobile power generation solutions, and Baker Hughes have secured a major order for 76 NovaLT™16 gas turbines, along with gearboxes and generators powered by BRUSH™ Power Generation. Together, the equipment will deliver approximately 1.3 GW of hypermobile power generation capacity for data center projects and oil and gas applications. The gas turbines were booked in the second quarter, while the gearboxes and generators were booked in the third quarter.
Dynamis integrates Baker Hughes’ multi-fuel NovaLT™16 gas turbines, gearboxes, and BRUSH™ Power Generation generators with Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) systems into its proprietary DT17 hypermobile power units. Designed with a modular architecture and compact footprint, the units offer the flexibility and scalability to meet diverse power requirements while ensuring high availability and operational reliability across a range of applications.
“The market is demanding utility-grade power solutions that deliver lower emissions without the complexity and expense of water, which is exactly what our Dynamis DT17 platform was engineered to provide,” said Matt Crawford, CEO of Dynamis Power Solutions. “By combining Baker Hughes’ proven NovaLT™16 technology with Dynamis’ proprietary hypermobile packaging, we’re delivering industry-leading power density that significantly reduces construction timelines and civil costs – answering our customers’ requirement for power today. This collaboration with Baker Hughes represents another innovative step in providing reliable, efficient, and rapidly deployable power for the accelerating needs of data centers and the critical energy infrastructure.”
“Power demand in North America is accelerating as data centers and digitization expand, manufacturing returns, and energy infrastructure continues to grow,” Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said. “Building on over a decade of collaboration, we are proud to strengthen our relationship with Dynamis. Together, we are delivering consistent, reliable and efficient power solutions critical to building a resilient energy system that is secure, sustainable and affordable.”
Based on Dynamis’ flagship DT35 hypermobile power platform, the DT17 is designed to meet immediate power demands while supporting the complex operational requirements of industries that rely on natural gas-powered solutions. Equipped with Baker Hughes’ NovaLT™16 gas turbines, the DT17 delivers greater flexibility for large-scale power users in the data center and oil and gas sectors. Its compact design, resilience in demanding environments, and rapid deployment, commissioning, and maintenance capabilities enable reliable and efficient power generation where it is needed most.
