CNOOC Limited Brings On-stream Bozhong 19-2 Oilfield Development Project

CNOOC Limited announced the start of production at the Bozhong 19-2 Oilfield Development Project, located in central Bohai Bay with an average water depth of around 20 meters. The project features a new central processing platform and four unmanned wellhead platforms. A total of 59 development wells are planned, including 34 production wells and 25 water-injection wells. By 2025, the project is expected to reach a peak output of approximately 18,800 barrels of heavy crude oil per day.

Through smart engineering and standardized construction, the project’s construction timeline has been significantly shortened. This has facilitated the efficient development of offshore oil and gas resources and contributed to the production growth of the Bohai oilfields, China’s largest crude oil production base.

CNOOC Limited holds full ownership of the project and serves as the operator.
