Bureau Veritas has announced the acquisition of Versatec Energy B.V., an independent technical advisory firm specializing in the offshore and onshore energy sectors. This acquisition aligns with the LEAP | 28 strategy, aiming to establish a strong presence in the rapidly growing renewables market. It highlights the Group’s commitment to the energy transition and strengthens its role as a key player in developing a sustainable and secure energy sector.
Bureau Veritas is accelerating the energy transition by offering end-to-end solutions to help clients in the energy sector address both current and future challenges related to the development and operation of renewable and low-carbon assets. The acquisition of Versatec Energy B.V. is a strategic step to strengthen Bureau Veritas' role as a key partner in ensuring technical compliance and mitigating industrial risks within the energy sector. This move enhances Bureau Veritas' capabilities in critical areas such as oil & gas, nuclear, renewables (particularly offshore wind), and low-carbon energy solutions like hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).
Versatec Energy B.V. is a technical consultancy specializing in the offshore energy industry, with over 40 years of expertise in five key areas: health, safety & environment; operational excellence; quality & technical compliance; technical documentation & training; and digital solutions. The company's experts have developed valuable methodologies for Commissioning & Start-up, Asset Due Diligence, Operational Assurance & Readiness, and Project Management.
