The Brightmark RNG Holdings LLC joint venture has solidified its position as a leading dairy renewable natural gas (RNG) provider in the US, following its recent expansion of ownership and operation to 15 projects across the Midwest – an area accounting for approximately 43% of national agricultural output.

This significant milestone marks a major turning point in Brightmark's growth trajectory, underscoring its commitment to driving innovation in sustainable energy production within America's heartland. To date, Brightmark has reduced emissions by more than 1.2 million tons of CO₂eq through its RNG circularity centers, equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by planting and growing nearly 20 million trees for 10 years.

The launch of these projects marks a significant step forward in the fight against methane emissions, with immense potential to foster economic growth and community development. This achievement showcases not only the viability but also the widespread adoption of innovative solutions aimed at reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions on a large scale.

Brightmark partners with farmers to harness methane emissions from organic waste through the anaerobic digestion process, yielding renewable natural gas. By collecting and digesting discarded biomass, this approach extracts captured methane which is then refined into RNG for use as a low-carbon transportation fuel alternative.
